Libertine for Target

I love Target. This dress, oh well Target calls it a tunic, is so 1980's. So wonderful. If you go over to http://www.whatiwore.tumblr.com, she is wearing it with a blue cardigan, and a jean jacket, and it looks amazing. Oh, and her blog is great too. So feel the 80's and get this dress/tunic. Online only. But worth it.

Elizabeth Taylor Icon

What a stylish lady. She will be missed. Oh, and she loved her jewelry, the photo below is from her book about her jewelry. I love the pearls as a kind of mask, what a fun shot.

Pear shape diamonds in this kind of setting became known as the Burton-Taylor Diamonds. Just beautiful.
Ahhhhhh.

Relaxing Blue - Tiffany Box Blue

This room was designed by Kathryn Chaplow, and all I can say is ahhhhhhh. I love the relaxing blue and white. Kind of looks like Tiffany Box Blue. Yum. I would love it even without the canopy post bed. Just a regular bed would be equally wonderful.

So fresh for spring. Paint is cheap girls.

Jean Jackets. What a great transition into spring. If you need one, check your local Goodwill, I have spotted several, or check Old Navy, fun jacket to have. Love it with black and with dresses.

What's your take on jean jackets?

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

Update: Chipped, and nicked at dinner. Oh, well back to my OPI.

I purchased these at my local Walgreens for $9.99 plus tax, to give them a try. Says they last up to 10 days. I need that. Yes, I have short nails, oh well.
So, instructions were really easy to follow, everything you need is in box, except some nail polish remover to clean your nails. But, I had that. Followed the instructions, I have short nails, so I used one strip on 2 nails, in other words, left pinky, and right pinky, each got the same strip. So, I have a whole group of unopened strips to go. Now that would make it $5 per mani. Now that would be a good deal, if it lasts. It took me about 35 - 40 minutes to apply, time may improve with practice. You do have to be careful with the orangewood, cuticle stick as you can tear the polish, this was hardest around the cuticle area, but again, better over time. I am happy with the results, typing away with them now. Now, if they will only last.
The downside, is they don't have a ton of colors, could be my Walgreens, but I settled on this Champagne color, called 270, Raise a Glass, a nice neutral metallic color.
Anyone else have any luck with these?

Painted Silver Dresser

Every fashionista needs an amazing, dresser or lingerie chest. I love this one that I saw on a blog, (really can't remember where), painted silver. I love this silver color. The hint of metallic is perfect. A mirrored top would be amazing.

I am currently searching Craig's List. I need to do this.

Drop Dead Diva

If you haven't caught Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime, you are missing out. It is a fun guilty pleasure. I caught bits and pieces of Season 2 when Lifetime did a marathon a while back. So, imagine my thrill when I found Season 1 available for instant viewing on Netflix. I was in heaven, (so to speak).

I am almost thru Season 1, and 2 isn't out on DVD yet, so hopefully, Lifetime will run a marathon again for all us fans. Oh, and Season 3 starts in June.

Check out Jane/Deb, and all her friends. You will be hooked.

Feeling the 80's and Jumpsuits

This jumpsuit from JCrew, totally reminds me of the 1980's. I had a jumpsuit similar.

No, I won't be buying one now. But, I am contemplating a jean jacket for spring and summer.

Shoe Storage

Shoe storage. Everyone wants more. Reuter's News Service says the average woman own's 19 pairs of shoes. Well that info, and the fact that my daughter's boyfriend's dog, (wow weird sentence), ate another pair of her boots, got me thinking about shoe storage.

Older houses have very little storage. When I saw the great Pic below in "O" Magazine, it gave me some ideas.

What are you using for shoe storage?

Photo above, "O" Magazine, Brooke Cundiff.

I have tons of these plastic bin things that each have 3 bins in them, those stacked in a closet might work. Maybe some nice paper in them, or a sachet?

Don't judge, full closets, and tons of Beannie Babies. Really, need to get rid of the Beannies.
Closed shoe storage would keep the dog out. But, would this work? Hmmmm.

Dream shoe storage. Say, ahhhhhhh.

Sorry, don't know where the above pic is from. It is amazing.
Ok, yes, I would love to open a closet and just look at my shoes. Don't know where below pic is from, sorry.

Pic below is from Design Sponge. It is a great idea. Love the use of shelves. Kind of gives a Rachel Zoe kind of feel to it.

Image below via Apartment Therapy. Love the shoe storage.

Or, do I tell her to hit the dollar store and get tons of the plastic boxes, and just photo, and stack? Hmmm, love the dollar store.
May do that for photo storage? Oh, well another post.
