Blue Jean Tote Bag
Since it is still cold and blustery outside I thought I would post a reminder that you can use those old blue jeans and make a tote bag, or purse. Great free pattern at:
Put an old belt through the loops, or put a ribbon through, you could even make the bottom sturdy with a foam core so it could hold a laptop. Just use your imagination.

The Bermuda Bag - Handbag
Anyone out there ever have a "Bermuda Bag". Years ago, they were popular. Wood handles and changeable covers. You could even make your own. Well you still can. What a great craft project for you and your kids. Wooden handles are readily available in various sizes and colors at the craft and fabric stores, like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, JoAnne Fabrics. JoAnne, even has free pattern for wood handle bags. Don't have any material, just recycle an old shirt or skirt. Everyone has extra buttons that come with men's shirts, or their own shirts, do a mix of buttons, or do all the same. Choice is up to you. Be creative.

Great Retro Movie - Great Clothes
How to Marry a Millionaire, with Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and Lauren Bacall is a great classic. Not only does it have a funny story line, but the clothes are fantastic. Where else can a girl look great always, and really never work. Love the cold deli sandwiches and Champagne. What a great way to spend a Friday evening. Supposedly Nicole Kidman is working on a contemporary remake, and will play the part played by Marilyn Monroe, I have to admit, Lauren Bacall's part was always my favorite.

Audrey Hepburn Style Clothing Pattern
I love "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I love the clothing, the romance, and Cat....o..h and the music. Ran across this Vintage 1966 McCall's Pattern 8523 and it so reminded me of a Dress that Audrey Hepburn would wear in the movie. If I could sew, I would make this dress, alright, I would make all three outfits on the pattern. I guess I should learn to sew. I also love the rendering/drawing that they used for these old patterns. I should probably learn to draw too. Enjoy.
