Crazy Gadgets That Work, Perfect Fit Button

First and foremost, No, I did not get one free, and was not paid for this. I just happen to loose and gain 5 pounds regularly, and needed something other than a safety pin. So, I ran over to Walgreens, because they have the As Seen on TV stuff, and picked these up. Guess what? They work. I have even washed the pants and they stay in. I am sure you should probably remove them before washing, but I forgot. I wouldn't put them on kids pants as if they come off they will poke you. I believe there is a disclaimer for that or something. But, for us adults, they are perfect. You get like 10. I have only lost one, I don't think I had it on good, and it was on a side pair of pants and I think it caught on my purse. It didn't poke me, just the button fell off somewhere and I was left with the inside.

Summer White Shirts

Years ago, I saw a picture of Carolina Herrera in a fabulous white shirt. Much like the picture below. I was struck by how amazing and classy she looked. I do love her designs too. I have seen many interviews etc. by her and she always has on an amazing white shirt, what can I say about the bangles? Love them too. Anyway, I digress, it is about the white shirt. I currently have 5 or more in my closet. I love them, I search for them, the amazing white shirt. I have several that are amazing, and I think of Carolina Herrera everytime I put one on.

So this is not a post about Carolina Herrera. It is a post to inspire you to find an amazing white shirt. One that you will not only wear in the summer, but all year long, (which you can do you know). So go forth and hunt for that great white shirt.

Forever 21 Lace Trim Shirt

Perusing the Forever 21 website, I ran across this new arrival. From the twelve by twelve colleciton. It retails for $26.00. Love the tie at the neck and the lace at the sleeves, and hem. Dressy but still casual, great with jeans and flats.

Cardi Wrap -- Sweater Wrap --

No matter what you call it, Cardi Wrap or Sweater Wrap, it is a great all year must have. You know those days when it is cold outside, but you know it will warm up later. Celebrity Closets -- What is your closet like?

Kim Catrell's Closet. This is my favorite closet, as it is more typical of most homes. Even if you had a small walk-in closet, you could achieve this simple look. So why am I looking at closets? Well every fashion lover has to have someplace to put her stuff. Also, my parents were recently repainting their bedroom closet a super bright white, kind of like the one below, and it inspired me to look at my own bulging and dirty closets. Now, if that closet only had a small chandelier it would really be rocking. So this week, I may look at painting my own closets and reorganizing. I did say may!!! I have so many projects I am mind boggled right now. Will definitely let you know.

I love belts. Not always sure how to wear them, but truly covet them. This amazing belt is from Delias.com. It is the Mindy Double Wrap. I think this belt could be an all year belt. I love it.

Washing Day!! Washing Clothes!!

What are you doing this Sunday? Well, I am washing. Lots and lots of washing. Almost all of today's clothing requires the good old fashioned drip dry. I use an indoor clothing drying rack. Although my new fancy front load dryer should have a rack where you can just sit clothing to dry, I haven't purchased it yet. Luckily here in the southwest we can also air dry outside. That brings me to clothes lines. Do you have one? Or do you miss one? Maybe you have one inside your garage or laundry room for air drying clothes. Either way it is wash day for me.

I wish I was having as much fun as the people in these pictures were.

Vintage Vogue - What is old is New in Fashion

I love looking back to the past for fashion inspiration. Vogue always inspires me. The photo below (don't know where it is from) is Jane Fonda. Notice that Plaid is back in fashion this season -- check Ralph Lauren. Also, notice the chunky bangles, again, great style for this season.


I just love this ad. I like the pearl button earrings. I also like the pink scarf around her neck.

As an avid watcher of Project Runway, I really wish I could sew. I can't. Really, not a stitch, and I have tried. But I love looking at old patterns. Picture Photo Wall for Your Fashion Closet

I'm all about great outfits. However, I get dressed and never can remember what I like to mix and match. So it dawned on me when I saw this photo wall, what I need to do. Every time I make and match a killer great outfit, I will take a picture and print it out on the Post-It Picture Paper-- (like post-it notes, stick and then remove when you don't want) anyway, print and attach to my closet (works best on smooth surface). Now I will have a record of great outfits at my fingertips. Ok, so maybe I have too many clothes, but can you ever have too many?

Rachel Zoe Project - Season 2 on Bravo

If you haven't caught the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo you are missing some fun. Let's just say "I die, and Banannas!". I will be curious to see how the recession will impact how she styles. It was touched on a bit in the first episode of season 2 by Roger, but not really much by Zoe. I know the award shows toned it down a touch, so again, let's see how they do with the recession. It is a fun lighthearted show that takes a peak at the stylist and what she does. It is great for all you fashionistas out there. The one great thing she really preaches is to take a few minutes to yourself to get dressed. You can have that Ah Ha moment!! Oh, and let's just say jewelry, jewelry, jewelry!! Monday nights on Bravo. Of course it is opposite Gossip Girl, so you will have to DVR one and watch one. You gotta have your Gossip Girl, right?!!
