Figure Friendly - Calabacitas

In expensive filling - figure friendly meal. Calabacitas!! Yum. Let's face it a girls gotta eat. Veggies are great, and this is great as left overs or can be frozen. You can also add chicken or hamburger if you like. Oh, and so easy on the wallet, saves more room for shoes.

3-4 zucchini

1 can Nibblets corn -- or 1 cup frozen corn

1 15 oz can stewed tomatoes - or equivilant of fresh tomatoes, peeled (if your garden is full of tomatoes)

1 medium onion

1 or 2 cloves garlic

1 tablespoon butter

Cut and saute zucchini, onion, garlic, in butter, until onion is translucent and zucchini is cooked/soft. Then add your stewed tomatoes, and your corn and simmer until flavors meld about 10 - 15 minutes. Then eat and enjoy.

If I have left overs, the next day I add a can of black beans drained and some hamburger meat and serve it up.

Rachel Zoe's QVC Line

Rachel Zoe's Line for QVC debuts on 9/12/2009 at 8PM Eastern. Prices range from $32.50 to $130. She will be debuting her line of faux furs, accessories, sunglasses, handbags, and scarves. Can't wait. What fun to see what she chose. It is a 3 hour show. Having watched these celebrity lines on QVC before, I am sure it will sell out. I will just wait and see.

Now for the Rachel Zoe show. Loved it. Although I like Taylor did not watch the Oscars. Sorry, blame it on the economy and celebrity overload. However, I do love watching Rachel Zoe. She is only slotted for 10 episodes so it is a quick indulgence. I guess I will have to get hooked on the New Melrose Place tonight for my fashion fixes. Hopefully Zoe will do a season 3.

I know it is back to school, and Labor Day Weekend. But.....who says you can't enjoy an Indian Summer. I know I still will be. Here in the beautiful southwest it will be summer like for at least 2 more months. Cool evenings and mornings, but 88+ in the afternoon. Perfect weather for anything. I love this look that Jennifer Aniston is wearing. Girls this is right out of your closet and perfect for college, running errands, running after kids. If you need a cardigan for cool mornings just grab, or maybe a scarf that you can throw around your neck or over your shoulders. Coco Before Chanel - Movie

Fashion and a movie all in one -- Bring on the Popcorn. Can't wait till later this fall when Coco Before Chanel comes out. It chronicles her early years after her father died and into her early fashion years. As you can see by the below set photos it looks amazing. She had such a sense of style. Although most people will know her for her cologne, it was her fashion that was totally amazing. You may not know that she also did interior design. What a trend setter. The below photos are from the set and IMBD. Take a peak, love the large sofa and library wall behind. Girls, I know you love your fashion, but read too!! You can read about fashion. Here is an interesting tid bit, her apartment on the 3rd floor above the Chanel Shop at 31 Rue Cambon has been frozen in time since her death in 1971. Wow. As you can see from the set photos her apartment was glamorous and eclectic, not the matchy matchy kitch 70's style. As for the clothes, I am currently looking for a inspired kind of Chanel black and white checked jacket, like I see Taylor wear on RZ constantly, although her's is Chanel. I will find one. Truly can't wait, for the movie.

So this is last season's vintage tassel bracelet. I keep seeing people asking for it and blogs talking about it. So let's get inspired ladies. Check out the pics below for some tassel inspiration.

Tasseled Knotted Chain at Forever 21 $12.80. I might go check this one out and see if I can wrap around wrist and make a kind of fun funky knock off. I use necklaces as bracelets all the time, if I am going to keep them as a bracelet I sometimes move the clasp if I want it tighter. Or, you can go to your favorite craft store in the jewelery findings deparment, get a claw clasp, attach to necklace, clasp where you want and then remove if you want to wear it as a necklace. Claw clasps come in a bag of 6 or 12 and are inexpensive.

Forever 21 Tassel Necklace $4.80. Same idea here -- or you don't have to have the bracelet, do the necklace.

There is an Etsy seller that makes a pretty good knock off, but it is $60.00 and let's face it for gold filled that is expensive -- well to me anyway. I think I'll do my Forever 21 knock off and enjoy.
