4th of July -- Red Flip Flops - Rag-Tied Flip Flops

Nothing to wear this 4th of July. How about a pair of red Flip Flops. Havianna makes a great pair. You can also find an off-brand at Target, Wal-Mart, as well as Old Navy.

Make a snip in the fabric about 1 inch from side and tear the length (it will tear easier one way than the other so if it’s hard, try another side) - you can also cut fabric with shears if you would prefer.

Cut each strip in half.

Tie onto flip flop straps, pushing knots close together.

Pull all strips forward so knots are lined up evenly and the strips lay nicely. Trim off all excess strings.

The more fabric the fuller and the better!!

They have the same line - wheat style pattern on the sandal that you remember from your youth. Also, they are the same squishy comfy felling flip flop you knew. Here in the southwest you can find them at Urban Outfitters. They also have a website and are plentiful on Ebay. So grab a pair or two. They are great.
