Loving BCBG Max Azria For Fall

I love fall, however here in the southwest it doesn't get too cold. A few days of snow, but not too much. I love looking for new jackets. These 3 from BCBG have got to be my favorite. Oh, and being a Rachel Zoe fan, I love the big sunglasses. All year all the time on those sunglasses. The nice thing is if you aren't lucky enough to live where there is a BCBG they have a great website. Simply, bcbg.com. Check it out. Oh, and they have sale items too.

BCBG Asymmetrical-Zipper Jacket $168.00

BCBG Shawl-Collar Coat $318.00

BCBG Leather Sleeve Draped Jacket $248.00.

Project Runway Season 6 - Lifetime

I love project runway. I have watched it for 6 seasons. I guess you could say "I'm In!". This year it is on Lifetime. Only 2 shows have run so far -- so, if you're not watching. You should. Still time to get in. Love this weeks challenge of the Maternity clothing. No spoiler her, won't spoil the fun for you. What is also great is that they run it twice in one night, so you can catch it at a later time, then they normally run it during the week. I haven't picked my designer yet, will have to let you know.

I saw this over at Apartment Therapy. I know, it is not fashion, but oh how fun is it. This would look cute anywhere, back yard, front yard, porch. Now if I only had a chair.

Rachel Zoe Project - Season 2 on Bravo

If you haven't caught the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo you are missing some fun. Let's just say "I die, and Banannas!". I will be curious to see how the recession will impact how she styles. It was touched on a bit in the first episode of season 2 by Roger, but not really much by Zoe. I know the award shows toned it down a touch, so again, let's see how they do with the recession. It is a fun lighthearted show that takes a peak at the stylist and what she does. It is great for all you fashionistas out there. The one great thing she really preaches is to take a few minutes to yourself to get dressed. You can have that Ah Ha moment!! Oh, and let's just say jewelry, jewelry, jewelry!! Monday nights on Bravo. Of course it is opposite Gossip Girl, so you will have to DVR one and watch one. You gotta have your Gossip Girl, right?!!

Whatever happened to the Slip?

Whatever happened to the slip? I can remember my Mom and my Aunt walking around in a slip after work. Women don't really wear slips anymore. If you do want a smooth sillouette under your dresses or skirts the picture 2 below is of a Spanx slip from Nordstroms. This great slip below on Elizabeth Taylor can be seen in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. By the way it is a great movie.

Spanx slip available at Nordstroms, and http://www.nordstroms.com.

Reading -- James Patterson's The Quickie

Summer is for beach reading, shopping, and getting buying back to school clothes and supplies. This begins the question - What are you reading? I remember when this came out in hardback, held it at the Library and never picked it up. So imagine my thrill when it was on sale at the grocery store for $4.79 today. Yeah for me. Can't wait to start reading it. It is that new tall and skinny size (sounds like I am describing clothing) that they are making the paperbacks in now, they say it is easier to hold and read. Clothing tomorrow, reading today.

Make Your Own - Boyfriend Jeans

Old Navy Weekend Jeans $19.00. WOW!

Okay so I know the trend is Boyfriend Jeans and you see them from soooo baggy you can take them on and off without unbuttoning them, to tooooo tight. Well, when watching trashy TV the other day I saw an ad for $19.00 Jeans at Old Navy, and they called them the Weekend Jean. I liked them because they were a little cropped and not too tight and not too loose, (sounds like the 3 little bears, or pairs of jeans -- ha ha). Alas, I really don't need any jeans, even at a killer $19.00. So I did what any good fashionista would do, I improvised. I took an older pair of jeans that was a little loose, and stretches out fast, and thought about cutting them, but in the end just rolled them up 4 times, and poof, I had some Weekend, Boyfriend Jeans, YEAH!!! Now with the extra $19.00, do I go to lunch or ------ check for some shoes on sale? You know the answer, sandwich from home and SHOES!!!!! You can do it too, fashion doesn't have to be expensive, fashion is fun. Oh, and if you don't have any old jeans in your closet --- scoot on down to Old Navy, I mean really $19.00, you can't beat that. Oh, and for the umpteenth time, ignore the size, go for the fit!!!!! Just cut the tag out.

I was just thinking of Halloween the other day. Then I saw these wonderful Dancing Ghosts from Grandin Road, which every year I say I am going to make. Maybe this year. Anyway, it got me thinking I need a ghost or pumpkin for my Pandora bracelet. Pandora Ghost below.

Pandora Ghost -- love it. I think I have to have it.

The Classic Black Turtleneck - Hepburn - Kennedy

Everyone should own a classic black turtleneck. Or if you prefer a mock turtleneck. Hepburn and Kennedy rocked the turtleneck. Yes, I know it is still summer, but the stores are getting transition and fall clothing in, and a classic is a classic. Think, Gap, Bannana Republic, or your favorite department store for this classic.

Shades of Chanel -- Jackie Kennedy -- Urban Outfitters

Jackie Kennedy was before my time. However, what a style icon. As we all know large sunglasses are good and classic. Pearls, well every girl has to have at least one neck strand and one super long strand to knot. As for her love of Chanel, I too am a fan. Who wouldn't be? Classic, elegant, and very expensive. Thus, Urban Outfitters has a cute jacket that has shades of Chanel, that would be great with jeans and pumps. Oh, and the price is right. See below.

Urban Outfitters, Kimchi Blue Uptown Jacket $58.00 in Grey, Cream, onine only at urbanoutfitters.com.

Cooking - Fashion - Chex Muddy Buddies

Yeah!! Julie & Julia starts today!! Here, is the fashion part......Remember when your mom wore an apron? Does anyone wear aprons today. When cooking spaghetti sauce the other day it was kind of splattery, so I changed into an old t-shirt. I should have had a fashionable apron.

I can't really cook....So, a personal favorite of mine is the Chex Muddy Buddy. Recipe to follow.
