Make a snip in the fabric about 1 inch from side and tear the length (it will tear easier one way than the other so if it’s hard, try another side) - you can also cut fabric with shears if you would prefer.
Cut each strip in half.
Tie onto flip flop straps, pushing knots close together.
Pull all strips forward so knots are lined up evenly and the strips lay nicely. Trim off all excess strings.
